Brightline says it has introduced new dual network service in the Miami area as of October 6.

The company now operates the new train service running exclusively on the short-haul route between Miami and West Palm Beach.

Brightline has also changed its short distance pricing structure, offering peak and off-peak prices at fixed times. As of this morning, Brightline’s website was offering $19 fares between Miami and West Palm Beach at off-peak times.

Trains now depart around every 30 minutes during peak times between Miami and West Palm Beach.

There are now 36 short distance train departures each day. Of those, 16 trains with 4,450 seats are dedicated exclusively to short distance travel.

Long distance trains to and from Orlando have 20 daily departures, with 10,414 long-distance seats (long distance trains also allow short distance passengers on board).

Additional train cars are set to be delivered by the end of the year. Combined with other train car deliveries over the past year, it will bring the total new capacity to nearly 100% more long-distance seats than the same time last year.
